Droidcon Hackathon 2014

Topics covered at #Droidcon

Saturday, 1st - Sunday, 2nd November in London

Novoda and Skills Matter would like to offer you a very warm welcome to the 6th Droidcon London Hackathon…two days, one night, 100s of of bacon sandwiches (or veggie option!), litres of coffee and beer, not to mention the very latest SDKs, software and thinking in the Androidsphere.

This year’s hack is promising to be one of the best ever…with a slightly different format to 2013. Whereas we had three separate workshops last year, this year’s hack will offer a Google-driven challenge, a Gradle workshop, plus plenty of other things to get your teeth into!

Why not join Google for the Android Wear Hackathon? Take your ideas and build your application supported by like minded developers and Google experts. Be warned – there are limited places so register here to be part of the awesome 50-developer-hack-within-a-hack. Turn your wearable ideas into wearable reality.

Join Gradleware’s Principal Engineer,Marcin Erdmann, for a Gradle workshop – the basis for the new build tooling of the Android SDK. The workshop covers foundational futures and key concepts of Gradle that will enable you to get the most out of your Android builds. This is a great opportunity to build your skills for a successful Gradle adoption.

We will of course not only have the Google hack and Gradle workshop but also several other companies setting their own exciting challenges, so have fun experimenting with the latest gadgets from tech innovators such as Microsoft Azure, Golgi, Epson and MyAppConverter.

This hack will attract some of the most talented coders and creative experts – like you! And you’ll have the chance to work together and create something amazing. So come along to watch, learn and get stuck right into some hardcore hacking!
