We have searched and negotiated and have found a wonderful luxury chalet set in a mountain hamlet of Val D'Isere, less than a minute from a ski lift which takes you straight up into the mountains with access to the glacier high above Val D. A local bus picks up right outside the chalet, running every 3 - 4 mins during the day and takes 5 mins into Val D town centre where you can access other ski lifts. The bus runs until 11 pm in the evening, however, frequency drops to 20 - 30 mins in the evenings giving the local bus drivers a bit of a break.
The surrounding 300km of slopes has everything for beginners to experts, snowboarders, piste lovers and powder junkies.
So when, I hear you ask? ... we fly out London Gatwick on the 11th Jan and fly back on the 18th Jan.
How much you may ask?...well of course, the all important question...**£860 per person which includes return flights from Gatwick, transfers to and from resort and 7 days catered chalet accommodation in an amazing chalet. Rooms are twin or double, all with en-suites and some with balconies; all with breathtaking views across the mountains. If you have never been to Val D, your jaw will drop when you see the sheer height and glory that are the surrounding mountains.
