This opportunity encompasses full HR responsibility including but not restricted to the following:

Employee management

  • Support Managers to appropriately manage the welfare and wellbeing of their teams
  • Support on-going employee development processes
  • Ambassador of fairness and consistency in relation to people management across the company Actively involved in staff appraisal process
  • Supporting managers in employee relation related meetings e.g. disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, absence & performance management
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between members of staff. Leading and conducting investigations and disciplinaries including ensuring compliance with procedures, current best practice and legislation
  • Execute the Off-Boarding Process laid down, assist Managers to fulfil their part, conducting exit interviews
  • Supporting managers with HR issues and queries

Information / data management

  • Develop a deep understanding of HR core metrics and provide insights
  • Collate and track data associated to HR matters and provide regular reports
  • Ensure that all HR documentation and literature is maintained and up to date
  • File and maintain the personal information and employment information for all personnel
  • Maintaining records of all documentation associated with all HR activities and duties
  • Reporting and presenting HR statistics to the Company’s senior management team
  • Collecting and recording completed employee review documentation and signing off as necessary
  • Review, develop and manage remuneration and reward systems
  • Managing and administering payroll as well as other employee benefits
  • Provide data to the finance department to manage the payroll process on a timely basis

Process and Best practice

  • Monitor and make recommendations on key personnel indicators such as equal opportunities, recruitment and selection, turnover, absence, appraisal etc
  • Taking a lead in H&S matters and enabling actions if necessary
  • Producing and reviewing risk assessments
  • Develop, review and update HR policies and procedures according to changes in legislation and make recommendations on implementation
  • Periodically revising the Company handbook and helping managers to enforce best practice
  • Reviewing and renewing various business insurances
  • Pro-actively identifying, developing and implementing improvements to systems and procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Recommend ways of better utilising resources within the business
  • To keep abreast of emerging profession / industry trends and the impact this will have on the HR function and wider Business
  • To contribute and take an active role during HR meetings / Operations / P&L meetings
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviour to create an open culture of two-way feedback across the business
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time


  • Pro-actively plan for short, medium and long-term staffing needs, in line with turnover trends and business growth
  • Overseeing the recruitment process and interviewing candidates when appropriate
  • Drawing up and issuing documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, variations on contracts, promotion/remuneration changes, termination, and external reference requests, in a timely manner
  • Managing the on-boarding process for new employees and helping managers with their part in this process
  • Facilitate the orientation programme set up for new starters


  • Must have experience managing the whole HR function
  • Will have a sound academic record and be an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or working towards the qualification
  • Strong knowledge and application of employment law
  • Must be trustworthy and understand the need for 100% confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in teams, diplomacy and excellent communication skills are essential
  • Must be able to work well with people at all levels within the Company
  • Is outgoing, hardworking and able to work well on own initiative
  • Will be self-motivated and conscientious with exemplary attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of P & L
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator and mediator who is articulate on a one to one basis as well as within large groups
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the Business

  • Ability to manage time and priorities
