Algorithmic Art is a community about algorithms making art - code creating images, musics, animation, sculpture and speech.
This friendly community is a diverse place to share ideas, be inspired by each other, show what we're working on, support each other with coding, and discuss what our art means to us.
We hope to inspire - artists to learn to code - and coders to explore art. We run regular tutorials, talks, and demos, and we also hope to organise an annual public exhibition in a real physical venue.
Sorry, looks like Algorithmic Art haven't got any events scheduled for the moment!

Reinforcement Learning & Creative Applications
Featuring Ali Chaudhry
Reinforcement Learning (RL) has been a key part of the huge growth and advances in AI over recent years.
Combined with deep neural networks, RL has enabled Google Deepmind's DQG to play Atari games, and was a key part of the AlphaGo system that mastered the notoriously difficult 3000-year old...data atari reinforcement-learning art
Generative Adversarial Networks with PyTorch
Featuring Tariq Rashid
Artificial intelligence has seen huge advances in recent years, with notable achievements like computers being able to compete with humans at the notoriously difficult to master ancient game of go, self-driving cars, and voice recognition in your pocket.audio-devs juce discovery python art
Art Hackathon - "Artificial Emotional Intelligence"
An art hackathon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackathon) means coming together in a shared space, and being collectively inspired, to create algorithmic art at the meetup itself.emotional-intelligence artificial-intelligence exploration data

Making Data Human
Featuring Ed Fish
Throughout history, methods of data collection, analysis, and sorting have been used to categorise and dehumanise the individual. What role can algorithmic art play in presenting data in interactive forms that reveal individuality while instilling empathy in the viewer.data bigdata art data-art algorithmic-art
Recursion For Beginners
Featuring Tariq Rashid
Recursion is a very powerful idea used extensively in algorithmic art - used to create, for example, impressively intricate geometric patterns or realistic natural forms. Recursion is powerful because it can describe very complex, sometimes beautiful, forms with apparently very simple rules.data beginner recursion art-from-code algorithmic-art
