Practice makes perfect. It's one thing to study a process, it's another to do it. Here at Central London Data Science Project Nights we put this to the test.
Our meetups revolves around a hands on machine learning experience that can be broken down into two parts: A lightning talk discussing the related technique we will be using on the night, followed by an in-depth tutorial that attendees can work through at their own pace.... and then pizza.
We believe the topics we have cover give attendees a firm grasp on fundamental techniques in the field of data science.

Stack Overflow Rudeness: Crash course in BigQuery, GLMs, Trees and Scraping!
Let's be honest, we have all seen a comment on Stack Overflow that has seemed rude. If you're not convinced just search "stack overflow rude". But why are they? Crash Course in Neural Networks
Neural networks can appear to be magic when you first see them in action, and even when know how they work, they can still seem like magic. Their magic is in their versatility. The same neural network can be used to predict if a photo is of a cat, or if the car you're driving is in danger.ai code data programming neural-network data-science
