Emily Pillmore was a model validator on Wall St. for 5 years before finding her way to functional programming. Since then, she has done work on massive distributed systems, including Disney, Bank of America, and more recently Kadena, using a mix of technologies ranging from Scala to Haskell. Emily has authored or maintained more than a hundred projects, including industry standards such as Scalaz and Haskell's core libraries. She went on to help start the Haskell Foundation non-profit, and currently serves as its first CTO, guiding Haskell into industry.
