The next London Ruby User Group meeting will be on Monday, 12th May 2008 at Skills Matter, London.
Tom Armitage will talk about the lessons learned, having launched a rails forum site called New Caprica back in March after ~9 months of toil.
Tom Armitage describes the majority of what he does as “making interesting things on the web”. That “making” takes several forms: from high-level product design, through information design and architecture to the code itself.
Tim Becker's talk has to do with meta and metameta and self-referentially and monkey-patching (all the stuff that Ruby programmers like but are bored to death of seeing presentations about)... but with a twist!
Tim Becker is a Ruby programmer, and has been developing a new meta programming tool.
