SEAM #18- Orange Business Services Case Study + Agile/DevOps at Oracle

Wednesday, 19th September at CodeNode, London

This meetup was organised by Study of Enterprise Agility Meet-up (SEAM) in September 2018

At SEAM #18 we'll be focusing on DevOps, with 2 interesting yet different presentations. First up will be Susan Duncan from Oracle. Oracle have changed a lot in recent years and it's really good to see them participating in more community events such as SEAM. The second presentation will be given by Philippe Ensarguet, CTO for Orange Applications for Business, who is travelling from Rennes to share his insights. Don't miss it!

Streamlining Agile and DevOps - Lessons learned

Susan will be sharing the lessons learned from streamlining Agile and DevOps.

Learn how Oracle's development teams are improving productivity by adopting agile development and DevOps good practises. In this session she'll share tips, tools, and techniques they are using on a daily basis. You'll see a demo of their full development cycle and learn how similar approaches could be applied in your organisation.

Susan Duncan

Susan is a member of Oracle's Cloud Development Tools Product Management team. She has been focusing on productivity enhancing solution for developers in various capacities since 1997, from consulting to development and product management. She is passionate about low code platform development and DevOps. She is a frequent speaker at events and workshops globally. In addition she currently leads the Oracle Mobile Development Program Office responsible for facilitating mobile software development and best practice across Oracle.

DevOps Pipeline as a Service – Our own true story with a happy ending

With over ten years of software experience, at Digital we've definitely changed how we approach software delivery and lifecycle! When working in a corporation with thousands of people creating and using software, from Software Editors to Service Integrators on tens of technical ecosystems, a clear corporate vision alongside software factories that deliver universal tools and practices is a must to ensure the best quality, efficiency and productivity at scale.

In this session, Philippe Ensarguet will be telling us more about Digital's own story of implementing a DevOps Pipeline as a Service and Software Data-Driven Cockpit. Learn more about how this was set up to help create impromptu software factories in SaaS to monitor the production effort.

Philippe Ensarguet

Philippe Ensarguet is the Chief Technical Officer of Orange Applications for Business (OAB), the Orange Business Services strategic BU dedicated to software and system integration that delivers Digital, IoT, and Data. Philippe is in charge of technology strategy and orientations (Cloud, Cloud Native, Software, DevOps, IA, Data), Build and Run production industrialization (tools, services, infrastructures and internal/partner clouds) and products (management, process and IT architecture).
