Not Just Python! Machine Learning in .NET Is Possible
When anybody says machine learning, anybody else inevitably thinks of Python. What makes Python a popular and effective language for machine learning? The true answer is: no special reason, just a matter of comfort and historical facts.
Therefore, there's no reason for not using .NET languages for machine learning. The point is that Python comes with a long list of dedicated libraries that form a unique ecosystem of libraries and tools. But with the release of ML.NET, Microsoft is catching up. In the end, machine learning is just software and the true contribution of data science specialists (with strong math/stats skills) is going to be limited to advanced research projects. For everyday business (once called optimization or consulting), developers can still do machine learning with ease and tools.
