Monday, 15th August, Online Meetup

This meetup is organised by LJC: London Java Community Starts at 5:00 PM UTC (5:00 PM UTC)

About this event

Testing in production used to be seen as a taboo in the software industry, but it is increasingly being seen as a necessary part of a complete testing strategy. I'll be sharing why we believe testing in production is necessary, how we do it safely, and how it recently prevented an incident from occurring in production.

Speaker Bio

Joe is a Senior Software Development Engineer at GoCardless, where he helps to redesign and refactor the payments network to support future expansion. After graduating from the University of Waterloo in 2011, he spent eight years in investment banking, and another two years at a data privacy company, wearing a variety of hats from production management to performance and scalability. Outside of work, Joe enjoys psephology, traveling, and walking the parks of London and the Home Counties.

This event is organised by RecWorks on behalf of the London Java Community.

The London Java Community is sponsored by Jfrog, Sonatype and Snyk
