In this brief session, I will be comparing the performance of a typical Application Server running on various JDKs out there and what compile time options we can use to optimize for the best performance. I will be showing multiple EC2 instances of micro size (~2 vCPU and ~2GB RAM with 32GB GP SSD) to benchmark a typical load of about 10 concurrent requests per second and then scale that up all the way to 10K requests per second to see the performance of JVM and app server.
