Meet up

LRUG - March

Monday, 11th March at Skills Matter, London

This meetup is run by LRUG: London Ruby User Group. Starts at 6:30 PM.

Join the London Ruby User Group (LRUG) for their monthly get together with Gerhard Lazu and Pablo Brasero Moreno taking the floor to deliver talks.

Showing off deliver

I will be speaking about app deployment, good production practices, CI and CD and app versioning (never replace a working production app instance with a new deploy). deliver is a single utility to rule one’s deploys to gh:pages, Jekyll, Ruby, node.js etc, even legacy PHP code (we all have it).

Gerhard Lazu

Gerhard always enjoys a good challenge, and the learnings that go with it. He is fascinated by infrastructure problems, especially those that get in the way of delivering value to end-users. He keeps things simple and to the point.

Passing on our skills to the next generation

I will share my experience teaching programming to children for a month. I will also tell us about “code clubs” in the UK, and what technologies exist to assist teachers in this task.

Pablo Brasero Moreno

Pablo Brasero Moreno is a web developer.
