Writing cross platform desktop applications using XWT
Ever wondered about using .NET to write desktop applications for Windows, Mac and Linux?
Luis Sanchez Gual, the team lead on the Xamarin Studio product, will join us to talk about XWT, an open-source UI toolkit for .NET that allows developers to create native UIs across platforms.
Luis has been involved in the Mono project for more than 10 years, initially at Ximian, then at Novell, and now at Xamarin. He worked in many different areas of Mono but spent most of his time working on the MonoDevelop IDE, now known as Xamarin Studio. In his talk, Luis will give us an overview on the current state of Mono and Xamarin tools and then give us a more detailed explanation on how XWT works and how you can use it.
