Efficient coding & 10 Top Tips for Good Object-Oriented Programming

Thursday, 17th April at Skills Matter, London

This meetup was organised by London Software Craftsmanship Community in April 2014

Want to learn some top tips for good object-oriented programming? Or how to save time in the mechanics of coding? Well, make sure you join LSCC who will be running through the ins and outs, the mistakes made and how to improve OO and efficient coding.

10 Top Tips for Good Object-Oriented Programming

In the last few years, Alastair has been responsible for driving an improvement in code and practice quality in a couple of organisations. This talk will cover some observations of common mistakes in object orientation, particularly in C# codebases.

Alastair Smith

Alastair is part of the team at Redgate building ingeniously simple tools. He enjoys writing C# on the back end and HTML/CSS/JavaScript on the front end, but he's tried a number of languages and found his real interests lie in good coding practices and ensuring software quality with automated tests. He has a passion for rooting out and destroying legacy code, and for promoting good practice in teams.

Efficient coding

Learn how to save time in the mechanics of coding and become a more efficient developer by taking advantage of productivity tools and practices. As software craftsmen, we are as good as our tools and mastering the use of them.

Ben Arroyo

Ben Arroyo has been playing with Microsoft technologies for the last 12+1 years. His passion and speciality is developer's productivity. Currently works for Microsoft as front end developer on the Windows Phone App Studio project.
