IBM Watson - It's for data scientists too!

Olly Cox and James Ravenscroft are Solutions Architects from IBM's Watson division. Olly's experience as veteran developer and technologist at a Business Intelligence company and James' data science background and part time PhD studies in Natural Language Processing, enable them to spend their days thinking of innovative ways to integrate Watson's machine learning and text analysis capabilities into a wide variety of use cases across a number of industries.

In this talk, they will share their experience and thinking.

James Ravenscroft

James is a software engineer with a degree in Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Robotics. James currently works part time at IBM's Watson division and part time as a PhD student at the University of Warwick. James is passionate about Natural Language Processing technologies and using modern technology to help further scientific advancement and provide a positive impact on society in general.


Olly Cox

Olly Cox is a Solutions Architect in IBM's Watson division. Olly's experience as a veteran developer and technologist at a Business Intelligence company, enables him to spend his days thinking of innovative ways to integrate Watson's machine learning and text analysis capabilities into a wide variety of use cases across a number of industries.
