First 2017 Kubernetes London Meetup

Ready to kick off Kubernetes in 2017? Don't miss this month's meetup where we will be looking at interactive learning platforms, and monitoring with Prometheus!

We are happy to finally announce the first Kubernetes London Meetup in 2017.

Join us for a night of great talks and conversations about all things Kubernetes.

We will start the night with a talk given by Ben Hall the mastermind behind Katacoda, interactive learning platform, which among many technologies also provides interactive hands on Kubernetes courses. Ben will give some practical hints, tips and things to look out for in the Kubernetes community. He will show us some hidden gems we may have missed, along with some of his favourite community projects and ideas.

After a short refreshments we will move to the second talk of the night given by Marcus Maxwell who will talk about Kubernetes monitoring using Prometheus. Expect to see dashboards and hear about Nagios ;-)

You can find the whole schedule of the night at the bottom of this message.

Finally, no Meetup can do away without some food refreshments after a long day at work :-). We would like to say huge thanks to the main sponsor of the night: Navops who have kindly sponsored the pizzas

Navops Command is a scheduler and policy management system for Kubernetes. It replaces the Kubernetes scheduler to provide multi-tenancy and resource sharing to lower costs and increase cluster utilization.

Tips on solving E_TOO_MANY_THINGS_TO_LEARN

Kubernetes is moving at a fantastic pace with innovations constantly happening within the community. But this leads to a problem, how is it possible to keep track of what's happening?

This talk is given by Ben Hall the mastermind behind Katacoda, interactive learning platform, which among many technologies also provides interactive hands on Kubernetes courses. Ben will give some practical hints, tips and things to look out for in the Kubernetes community. He will show us some hidden gems we may have missed, along with some of his favourite community projects and ideas.

Prometheus and Kubernetes: Match made in heaven

This talk is given by Marcus Maxwell who will talk about Kubernetes monitoring using Prometheus. Expect to see dashboards and hear about Nagios

How does Prometheus fits into the Kubernetes world and why is everyone jumping on-board. This talk will be about how Prometheus can help you make Kubernetes success Expect to learn how Prometheus beat Nagios in the cloud native world and to see some very pretty dashboards
