Thursday, 1st June at CodeNode, London

This meetup is run by London SQL Server User Group. Starts at 6:30 PM.

PASS London Chapter Evening- Say our Security Right (or Not)

Database security is one of those topics that too many misunderstand; haven’t learned it to the right depth, or just not sure how to approach designing a database security strategy.

During this session, we will examine how to put in the right level of security, evaluate and define an appropriate database security model that is right for the environment. We will be covering SQL Server’s security hierarchy and terminology, identify security risks (know your security responsibilities), determine when SA usage is appropriate and not and more.

Neil Hambly

Neil Hambly is the practice lead for a UK Microsoft Data Platform Partner and regularly undertakes such migrations with his clients, using demos of a few PowerBI reports he has built we can visualize and interrogate the collected MAP data to understand what challenges may lay ahead, and yes a copy of the reports to use on your own environments will be available. We will also learn during the session how to build and manipulate PowerBI reports to meet your own Data Visulations needs.
