Agile has never been about frameworks or locking your customers into one way of doing things. The Agnostic Agile Oath highlights this anti-pattern and reminds people that agility is about helping customers get to where they need to be. It puts the customer first, encourages respect and etiquette between agile practitioners and frameworks, and encourages kaizen within the agile community.
Yet, like it or not, Agile has now become a competitive industry. The focus is usually 'mine is better than yours' when it comes to frameworks, and they are seen as competing rather than complimentary. Additionally, the trend seems now to opine on a framework or organisational pattern that one has never used, experienced or even understood in the first place.
In this talk, Sam will introduce the Agnostic Agile Oath, how it came into existence and review its twelve agreements citing some real life examples. We will gather ideas on how we can help improve the agile community, and how we can help restore the focus of agile to the customer. We'll also take a sneak peak at what's next for Agnostic Agile.
