Scality has been a Gartner Leader for software defined storage for the past few year, and saw that problem coming 2 years ago. Its core product, the RING, provides a software solution to storing petabytes of data on private clouds across multiple sites.
Recently, Scality developped an open source solution that provides an aggregated view of all data stored across clouds, and lets the user use one single API (the S3 API) to access multiple cloud data backends (S3, Azure, Google Cloud, Backblaze, among others). It allows for Cross Clouds Replication, metadata search across clouds, and comes with a handy management UI: Zenko Orbit.
This presentation will cover the current situation and challenges described above, then describe Zenko Open Source, and conclude with a demo (bring your laptop!) and Q&A.

Zenko, a MultiCloud Data Controller
After completing a dual undergrad in medical sciences and computer sciences, Laure Vergeron joined Scality as a Software Engineer. In 2016, when Scality launched CloudServer, its open source S3 API Server, Laure became its Technology Evangelist, and she's been building a MultiCloud open source community since.
