In a world where developer experience is often at odds with end-user performance and experience, attempts to keep these conflicts at peace are evolving rapidly. This workshop provides a hands-on approach to building a static blog site using modern reactive approach with Dojo, TypeScript, and Node.js with techniques beyond typical server-side rendering (SSR) approaches.

Anthony Gubler is an Architect and Engineer at SitePen. Anthony has been working on large scale SaaS applications for the last 6 years, more recently with a focus on Web technologies. Anthony is one of the technical leads working on Dojo 2 and is excited about TypeScript, progressive web applications, custom elements and emerging Web Platform capabilities.
Matt Gadd is a Lee Mack lookalike (just kidding!) and Web Engineer at SitePen; a software development consultancy. Matt has been working on cutting edge web applications since Flash in the early 2000’s, and is still excited by the web platform’s potential. As a contributor and user of the venerable original Dojo toolkit, is now a key technical figure on the next generation Dojo framework.
