In this talk we contrast and compare the interface of the Java Bindings with the development and design of the Scala bindings and interfaces, with particular reference to the introduction of Scala language specific features such as the use of Options and the Scala Actors model.

Developing the Scala Bindings to the Fly Object Space
Nigel is the Architect and project lead on Fly Object Space. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at Brunel University where his main research interests are long running distributed system and inter component lifetimes and dependencies.
Channing is a Scrum Master and interested in agile/lean methods and has over 10 years of experience applying them in the projects he’s worked on. Channing has worked with Java technologies since 1995, the Eclipse RCP platform since 2001.
