Join us for a workshop with Romilly Cocking to get started with MicroPython on the BBC micro:bit (even if you've never programmed in Python before!).
Show happy faces, read buttons, float and sink a ship, and find out how to do even more with this amazing £11 computer.
You can use the BBC micro:bit for all sorts of cool creations, from robots to musical instruments – the possibilities are endless. With this workshop you will learn some of the things the micro:bit can do and start to build your own projects. Beginners welcome!
What you will need:
We will provide the micro:bit boards but please bring yours if you have one already.
You can bring your Raspberry Pi kit (screen, keyboard and mouse) but no worries if you don't have one and just bring your laptop! You’ll find instructions for downloading and installing mu on your OS here.
Feel free to bring your own micro:bit project or prototype if you have one!
