A huge pain-point when locally developing microservices is the number of external dependencies that need to be configured in order to get a working environment: datastores, caches, other services and so on. There are several approaches that can be taken to deal with this problem and this talk focuses on how we use one such approach, the Environment Leasing pattern, at Karhoo.
